in Orlando, Florida! Held in the Disney's Wide World of Sports
Complex, a 220-acre facility that hosts 170 amateur and professional
sports events each year and boasts 10 different baseball fields.
Disney World Baseball Tournaments give teams a taste of what it feel
like to play in the Major Leagues, allowing players to take their
places on the same field where the Atlanta Braves hold their spring
training. An annual highlight is the week long Atlanta Braves Fantasy
Camp, where over-30 men get the chance live out their fantasies of
being a Major League baseball player. Participants receive Atlanta
Braves uniforms with their names and numbers on the back and play ball
with their favorite Atlanta Braves players.
Disney's annual Spring Baseball Training is open to high school,
college and club teams. Last year, more than 180 teams from across the
country enjoyed the world-class baseball fields, with Diamond D-1 game
balls, umpires, announcers, scorekeepers and trainers provided.
The Elite World Series is definitely one of the most popular Disney
World baseball tournaments in Orlando, Florida; age groups 10 and 15
have been added for the 2007 event, which is sponsored by the United
States Specialty Sports Association.
All athletes, coaches, batboys and batgirls must purchase the minimum
Baseball Tournament package. Most tournaments are open to players from
eight to eighteen years of age.
This spring, Disney World baseball tournaments kick off with the Sun
and Surf Bash over Memorial Day weekend, and continue with Disney's
Salute to Baseball Festival, which runs July 3-9 and comes with a five
game guarantee.
The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Baseball tournament, held from July
5-29, encourages participation by offering different divisions of play
for players of all skill levels, ages and types on AAU teams.
Disney's Turn Back the Clock tournament runs from August 31-September
3, followed by the Sunshine Showdown in October, the Thanksgiving
Triple Crown in November and the New Year's Baseball Classic in late
December.

oppressively hot and humid with almost daily afternoon thunderstorms.
Winters are pleasantly mild with sunny weather and comfortable
